Music Monday - July 2014 - #3 - Gold

This #MusicMonday I'm featuring the song "Gold" by Sir Sly. I have heard this song being played in a few different places, so I thought I would share it. I really like the feel of this song and while the lyrics are somewhat repetitive (not in a bad way) they have a haunting quality with the message of following your dreams. The music video is also interesting to watch. Music Monday - July 2014 - #2 - Riptide

This #MusicMonday I'm featuring the song "Ripetide" by Vance Joy. I have liked this song for a little while but had never watched the music video. Honestly, I don't watch many music videos but this one seems particular strange. Regardless, this is still a really great song! Friday Finds - July 2014 - #1


  1. Blog - I recently found this blog, GabiFresh, and I think it's fantastic! Gabi is a plus size fashionista who is breaking all the rules! I consider myself a curvy girl and it's refreshing to find someone who owns their body and celebrates that -- instead of trying to hide and conform to the "norm". Check it out for yourself! 
  2. Food - I'm always looking for new and easy ideas for a fast healthy breakfast. These overnight oats are a great summer option. Eat warm or cold with you favorite toppings!
  3. Hair - This take on the braid is simple, clean and something I think anyone could accomplish!
  4. DIY - This simple switch can really brighten up a room! Display your artwork like a pro with bright and colorful matboard. 
  5. Art - Have you ever seen anything like this before? I know I haven't! These amazing Splash Sculptures were created by Cassandra Warner and Jeremy Floto of Floto+Warner studio. 
  6. Drink - Find out how to cold brew the prefect cup of iced coffee. There is a right way... and I had no idea!

Music Monday - July 2014 - #1 - After the Disco

This #MusicMonday I'm featuring the song "After the Disco" by Broken Bells. Naturally Monday's are one of the most dreaded days of the week... the weekend is over and it is time to get back to work. Before I jump into my workday music sometimes I like to start off the morning with a little mood music. I'm still not fully wake, my coffee hasn't kicked in and I'm reflecting on the weekend. This song is great in many ways, but today I'm mourning the long weekend -- "after the disco". Take a listen and let me know what you think in the comment section down below!
